The devastated family of a motorcyclist who died in a crash have paid tribute to the 'special and caring' 21-year-old.
Bricklayer Paul Tidey, of Braithwaite Drive, Colchester, died on Sunday when his Ducati motorbike hit concrete posts on a perimeter road at Earls Colne airfield.
His sisters Dawn Tidey, 24, Jo Sharp, 31, Jackie Tidey, 33, and Dawn's fiance Lee Ball, 25, paid tribute to the former Stanway School and Colchester Institute student.
Speaking for all of them, Dawn said: "He was caring, really caring, and he had lots of friends. He was always laughing and joking. We are absolutely devastated. None of us can believe it."
