A family are appealing for help after their three-year-old dog vanished at the weekend.
The owners of black and white siberian husky, Kira, believe she was picked up and taken away by someone after escaping from the back garden of the family home in Mayland, near Maldon.
Linda and Steve Masenhove and their four children are desperate to find their much-loved pet.
Kira is said to be a friendly dog and has black and white markings with a mark over her eyes. She was wearing a leather collar with a pink heart bearing her name and the Masenhoves' telephone number at the time or her disappearance.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mr Masenhove on 01621 774774 or 743599.
