Tiptree snooker star Ali Carter is looking forward to getting back to his own bed as he rests up ahead of his next clash in the UK Championships.
The 25-year-old progressed into the third round after blowing legend Jimmy 'the Whirlwind' White away at the Barbican Centre in York.
World number 19 Carter was 7-0 up when White conceded the match with an ankle injury.
And Carter told the Gazette: "I'm pleased because I won. But I'm also disappointed because I wanted to finish him off."
Carter has three days to rest up now before he takes on Paul Hunter Sunday lunchtime - who saw off Quinton Hann 9-7 in his second round match.
And rather than spend time taking in some other matches, Carter has decided to return home to his creature comforts: "I wanted to get back to my own bed," he said.
