Fan power has succeeded in persuading the Football Association to slap a three-match ban on Blackpool defender Danny Coid.
English football's governing body has issued a suspension against Coid for his part in an incident in the Seasiders' Coca-Cola League One game against Colchester at Bloomfield Road last month.
U's fans had felt there was a need for the FA to deal with Blackpool players involved in the fracas and many sent in letters and photographs with evidence relating to the incidents.
And an FA spokesman today confirmed the U's supporters' information had played a part in the disciplinary decision.
"That was part of the evidence studied by the compliance unit," he said. "But there was also other bits of evidence necessary."
