David Salisbury, whose hopes of playing on next season's European Tour were ruined when he suffered a groin strain as the qualifying school tournament approached, has finally enjoyed some golfing success.
After nearly three months out of playing action he returned in style at the Boyce Hill Pro-Am - at the South Benfleet based course he played with such distinction as a a young amateur - and triumphed in the individual pro event with a fine five under par 63.
Said Salisbury: "I was delighted with that - but it could have been so much better."
