A girls' group in Greenstead will fold if new leaders are not found to run it.
A plea has been made to save the Colchester 1st Welshwood Rainbow Guides which serves youngsters in the area.
Leader Mandy Green and seconder Lynette Owen are leaving next month and they are looking for people to take over the mantle.
Mrs Green said: "It helps girls build their social skills and they get to mix with other people who they don't know from school. It will close if new leaders are not found and the girls will miss out."
