Fundraisers are putting on their dancing shoes to raise money for four-year-old Olivia Baalham.

Four-year-old Olivia Baalham and mum Natalie.

Olivia suffers from two rare conditions which severely restrict almost everything she does.

Olivia, who attends the Windsor School in Clacton twice a week, was last year diagnosed with Rett syndrome, a condition which occurs in one in 10,000 births. She is also thought to be the only person in the country to suffer from chromosome deletion.

A 'second skin' neurological body splint which supports her muscles, acts as a support for Olivia to walk around the specially-adapted house in Long Road, Lawford.

However, such equipment is not cheap and a dance is being held to raise funds. The dance, featuring live music from the 60s to modern day, has therefore been organised for November 27, from 7.30pm to midnight, being held at the Venture 2000 Hall in Lawford.

To book tickets, call Liz Eastall on 01206 231143 or Angela Kemp on 01206 230773.
