Ipswich Town face another former hero this weekend when they go head-to-head with striker Marcus Stewart.
Last Saturday Jermaine Wright made his eagerly-awaited return to Portman Road. And the week before they travelled to a Burnley side boasting the defensive talents of John McGreal.
The word hero is certainly no over-statement when it comes to Stewart, who served Town between February 2000 and August 2002.
And no Blues fan could forget the magical 2000/01 campaign, when Stewart's 21-goal haul helped them finish fifth in the Premiership and qualify for the UEFA Cup.
Stewart, who moved to Sunderland for £3.25 million, will be desperate to end his goal drought against Town.
After scoring a hat-trick against Gillingham in September, he has gone nine games without a goal and admits he is hanging on to his place in Mick McCarthy's side.
He may even have to be content with a place on the bench, but is begging his manager for another chance to be a goalscoring hero.
