Southend's director of rugby Kevin Harman wants his resurgent side to demonstrate a more ruthless edge against Warner's Bridge visitors Hertford tomorrow.

The Seasiders are on the up at the moment, having won three of their last four outings, and another victory this weekend would see them leapfrog their mid-table opponents in National Three South.

Southend have clawed their way up the table from bottom position to 11th spot over the last few weeks, but Harman is demanding a more clinical display against Hertford, who are eighth in the standings.

"I have been very pleased with our progress over the last few games," he said.

"But we need to become more ruthless, kill teams off and destroy their hopes of hitting back."

The big game in London Four North East, sees new leaders Rochford Hundred take on promotion rivals Basildon, who are only second on points difference, at Magnolia Road.
