The 14 and 15-year-olds, from the Edith Borthwick School in Braintree, visited Tutti Tuscan Grille at Braintree Freeport where they ate an early Christmas lunch and listened to a talk on the differences between an Italian and British Christmas.
The pupils learnt how to make traditional food gifts, such as puff pastry stars and almond chocolate logs, in an interactive cookery session.
