South-East Essex will have two representatives competing in the under-14 age group when the East of England regional netball finals are staged in Bedford on January 22 next year.
In the Essex tournament King John School, Thundersley, won all their group matches convincingly and met Great Baddow Sports College in the semi-final.
It was a very close game and the winning goal was scored in the dying seconds.
The team met local rivals Southend High in the final and stormed 7-0 ahead by half-time. They eventually won 9-2 and became under-14 county champions for the second year running.
Despite losing that final, the Southend High team also made the Eastern event after finishing as runners-up.
