More cash is to be pumped into improving frontline services for residents in Tendring - despite reductions in grant from the Government.
That's the message from council bosses who have drawn up plans to secure the authority's future financial stability.
They have looked at a number of ways of improving efficiency and have pushed forward ideas that will ensure the council is better run. Tendring's cabinet welcomed the action being taken.
The authority was judged as "good" by inspectors earlier this year but members want it to continue to make progress.
Executive leader Terry Allen said that following the report there was no room for complacency and the council wanted to demonstrate its commitment to improving services.
