The Gazette's Community Stadium Now! campaign has won the overwhelming support of Colchester councillors.
Members of all three main political parties have supported a motion backing our bid to get the facility built at Cuckoo Farm.
Before the Gazette's campaign started in March, the community stadium seemed to have fallen to the bottom of the political agenda.
At their meeting last night, councillors were queuing up to speak enthusiastically about the scheme.
More than 13,000 people have so far signed our Community Stadium Now! petition.
