Volunteers and donations are needed for Witham's appeal to help survivors of the Indian Ocean earthquake.
Kathie Tearle, Witham town and district councillor, is co-ordinating the fundraising effort at the Tesco store in The Grove shopping centre over the weekend from January 7 to 9.
But volunteers are still needed to shake collecting tins.

Cheques, made payable to the Disasters Emergency Committee, can also be sent to Witham Town Council, Town Hall, Newland Street, Witham, CM8 2FE.
