Pupils at Alton Park Junior School, Clacton, have started a children's saving's club - and it is the second school in the area to do so.

The initiative was set up by Essex Savers Net Credit Union (Netcuda) with the aid of a grant from the local network fund.

Liz Kearley, Tendring Netcuda development advisor, and parent governor Karen Lawrence, who both presented the idea to the school with headteacher Steve Morgan were astounded by the response.
