The beast of Essex is on the move.
Keeping an eye out for the Beast - Chaz Boynton and John Chittock, of Jaywick, look out across the field behind Meadow Way, Jaywick, where there have been reported sightings of the Beast of Essex. (43410-1)
There are reports that the mystery puma-like creature has been spotted near Harwich and Jaywick.
Recently it was seen at Weeley where it has been seen before.
Shocked witnesses and concerned police are taking the sightings seriously.
Big cat experts say it is quite plausible there is something on the lose - possibly an escaped pet.
If it is a big cat, like a puma, it would be capable of travelling long distances.
Most recently it was spotted by a woman travelling home to Clacton with her teenage daughter.
She contacted the Gazette to say she had seen "a large cat like creature" run out in front of their car.
