The Southend Coastguard helped rescue a jet-ski that became stranded on a sandflat as the tide retreated. The jet-ski ran aground at Foulness Sands. Its driver abandoned the craft and waded back to shore. The Coastguard and the RNLI Inshore Lifeboat accompanied him as he refloated it as the tide came back in several hours later.
