More than 100 mums, dads, pre-school workers and childminders from Thurrock took part in a fundraising toddle at Lakeside.
Helped by a bear from the giant shopping centre's Bear Factory, the raffle raised £60 with more cash expected to come in over the next few weeks. Money will go to Barnado's. The day saw the assembled toddlers and mums do a three-quarter-of-a-mile circuit of Lakeside's ground floor.
It was organised by the chairman of the Thurrock Pre-School Learning Alliance, Stella Benton and secretary Elaine Lee, who runs the Happy Days playgroup.
Mrs Benton said: "The youngsters all got medals and certificates for taking part and they were all pleased that they could help out Barnado's."
