Clacton's cricketers put Swardeston in a spin to clock up their third win of the season and maintain the pressure on the top three clubs above them.

The Seasiders' spinners spun their web on a dry Vista Road pitch to set-up a seven-wicket win superbly polished off by their in-form batsmen.

Swardeston were dismissed for 173 after losing the toss and being put into bat, a target easily achieved by Clacton with seven wickets in hand.

"It was great to chalk up another win," said Clacton's Gary Kirk.

"Our four spinners really performed well on our home track and the fact that we only bowled two seamers in the match said it all.

"It was a great win also because we were without our two main strike bowlers, Ryan Ten Doescharte who was away playing for Essex and Mohammid Imin who was turning out for Cambridge University.

"We're only eight points adrift of the top club now and although we've only recorded three wins we have been playing really well.

"We've already recorded 20 more batting points than any other club which shows how well we've been playing.
