ALMOST 20 infant, junior and primary schools from across Colchester took part in a music festival.
The concert takes place annually involving dancers, choirs and orchestras from a range of schools in the borough.
It was a particularly special evening at Charter Hall, as it was the 60th anniversary of the festival.
Entitled Diamonds Are Forever, the event kicked off with Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend, with highlights including group renditions of Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline and Sting’s Fields of Gold.
Many of the schools also performed individual acts, ranging from Broomgrove Junior School’s Money, Money, Money to Friar’s Grove Junior School’s version of Gold.
The swinging event finished with a glorious rendition of Diamonds are Forever.
