A NEW atrium for a Colchester school has been dedicated to a long-serving governor, who died last year.
A stained glass window in a new extension at Parsons Heath Primary School, in Templewood Road, was designed as a dedication to Stelios Sparsi.
Mr Sparsi spent a decade as a parent governor and governor at the school while his three children, Georgia, Alexi and Isabella, were there.
Headteacher Sheena Clover said he was instrumental in improving the school building and grounds.
She said: “Sadly last March, Stelios died suddenly before the last project he had been working on with us – the new atrium and offices – had taken place.”
