I have just been in Colchester General Hospital for four weeks.

I feel I must write to tell what good treatment I received.

The staff, including nurses, domestics and doctors, were so dedicated and the food was excellent.

When everybody seems to knock the National Health Service, I thought I must tell someone how much I appreciated the treatment I received.

The staff worked so hard, 12 to 14 hours a day, sometimes putting up with rudeness and abuse.

The number of tests and different treatments I received was fantastic. In any other country, it would have cost a fortune.

We are so lucky to live in Britain. People just don’t realise how lucky they are.
