I feel sick at heart as I study Colchester Council’s plans (local development framework), which include the building of 2,200-plus homes between Mile End Road and Bergholt Road.
I am not a nimby, as along with every other resident in this area, we have already had to accept nonstop building of numerous houses in the last decade, with another 1,500 already approved for Severalls.
Our quality of life is already affected by more traffic and fewer open spaces.
I may not be around to see the devastation that these unrealistic building targets may bring, but I do care about future generations and their quality of life; and, if you do, please write protest letters to your MP and Colchester Council.
