While Bob Russell is a reasonably hard-working MP and has an expenses record better than most, his moan about having to commute to London annoyed me.
Many thousands of people from the town, including myself, already spend at least 14 hours a week commuting to their Londonbased jobs, so why should MPs be any different?
Why exactly would he lose 12 hours’ work a week when we have BlackBerries, mobiles and laptops?
Too many MPs have enjoyed a life away from the real world for too long.
