STUDENTS are protesting against their own Students’ Union after nine members of staff were made redundant. The job cuts were made at the University of Essex, after the SU said that they have had to make cutbacks due to lack of funding. A group of students at the university have rallied round the former employees, and held a protest today to call for the SU to reinistate their jobs.
