A MAN has been left homeless after his houseboat caught fire.
The boat caught fire at Paglesham Reach on the River Roach. The 38-year-old owner was not hurt.
The Burnham Atlantic Lifeboat and inshore lifeboat crews tried to help but were not able to get close enough because of the low tide.
Fire crews were called, at about 3.50pm on Sunday November 15, but were unable to save his home and the 32ft houseboat was completely destroyed.
The Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service were called to help the man find temporary accommodation.
