FOUR trains were cancelled on a line that reopened three days ago.

The route between Manningtree and Harwich was closed when the track moved due to a landslide near Wrabness in October 21.

It reopened on Tuesday, six days earlier than planned.

Replacement buses ferried passengers between Manningtree Harwich Town today(Thursday) between 6pm and 7pm.

Russell Spink, spokesman for Network Rail, said: “The trains were cancelled because we have still only got one line open to passenger traffic and there are certain freight trains that have to go at an exact time.

“It will be happening again on Friday although we do not have a specific time and train services will be back to normal on Monday.”
