LOVERS of folk are in for a treat at Acousticity next week.
On November 14, Aussie songstress Lisa Fitzgibbon and her band, the Power Folk Quartet, will perform contemporary folk at the Headgate Theatre, Colchester.
Currently writing her fifth album, Lisa’s music is enjoyed across the world, from her home country, across the UK and America.
She will be supported by KC McKanzie and Gareth Davies-Jones McKanzie, working on her fourth album, is known for blending the extremes of melancholy with lightness, using cello or piano, guitar and banjo.
In comparison, Davies-Jones has been described as “a fresh new voice”.
With three albums under his belt, the Irish-born singer/songwriter has performed for radio and at festivals, including Bromyard Festival and the Sage, Gateshead, and the Brighton Arena.
The three acts will be at the Chapel Street North venue on November 14.
