HE’S worked with some of the biggest names in the music business, including Victoria Beckham and Craig David, now soul and UK garage singer Robbie Craig is set to wow clubbers in Colchester.

Robbie will be at Route nightclub tomorrow at a special Girls Love Garage night.

He discovered his love for music at an early age when he started studying and playing drums, singing and song-writing and by the age of 16, he had signed his first record deal, with Street Sound.

Soon he was working with a number of musical collaborators – the most notable being Artful Dodger and Craig David on Women Trouble, in 2001.

This huge European success gained him recognition from the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters at the Ivor Novello Awards – winning for best song. He also won in the same category in the Dance Star awards. Adding to his success, the song was included in the triple-platinum selling soundtrack to the highest grossing British film in history, Bridget Jones’s Diary.

In 2000, he worked with Shola Ama on I’m Yours and, in 2002, helped Victoria Beckham on I Wish I.

Robbie has also worked with Conner Reeves, Stewart Zender and Toby Smith from Jamiroquai and Take That’s Gary Barlow.

His latest offering is his debut solo album, Soul Alchemy, which was produced and co-written by Vezio Bacci.
