BUDDING artists impressed a county councillor with their canvases and postcards.
Bonnie Hart, chairman of Essex County Council, visited the Platform art gallery, at Mistley station, to see the canvas art prints made by the group of eight to 19-year-olds.
The three canvases, on the theme, A Postcard to a Friend, will eventually go on display at County Hall, in Chelmsford.
A grant from the Essex Community Foundation funded the project.
Project leader Tony Green said: “It was a community experience about how young people look at different stages of life, and how they develop through living in Essex and the rural area.”
The group visited London to help inspire their creations, which have been turned into postcards and will be sent to groups doing similar projects.
