GRANDPARENTS were included in a nursery school’s fun and games as toddlers included them in their activities for the day.
Puddleducks nursery, Halstead, celebrated National Grandparents Day with a party and picnic.
About 35 grandparents visited the nursery in Colchester Road.
It has a healthy food policy, so salad was served alongside jelly and cakes, some of which were made by the children.
Staff member Laura Finch said: “It was a fantastic day. We didn’t expect the response we got and will definitely be doing it again. We have had so many lovely comments from the grandparents.”
The children presented the grandparents with gifts, including handmade cards and salt dough hearts.
