TWO nine-years-olds are campaigning for a better play area in Slough Farm Road, Halstead.
Katie Greengrass, of Beridge Road, and Kieran Bugbee, of Acorn Avenue, plan to start a petition.
The Holy Trinity Primary School pupils have complained about graffiti on the climbing frame and also think there should be a bench, a roundabout, swings and more bins.
Katie said: “It’s a really rusty old climbing frame. We would go up there more often if there was more equipment.”
Aurelia Moreaux, spokesman for Braintree Council, said: “The site is not suitable for development as it is on grass verge on a narrow slope. It is safe for children to use the equipment. The graffiti will be removed within 48 hours.”
