WHOLE Lotta Led are back.

The UK’s only professional Led Zeppelin tribute act will be rocking Colchester again this month, and as fans who have seen them before will testify, they are as close as you can get to the real thing.

Despite disbanding in the Eighties after the untimely death of drummer Jon Bonham, Led Zeppelin remain as hugely popular today as in their Seventies heyday, and Whole Lotta Led serve as a real treat for those who didn’t get to experience them live.

The Gloucestershire outfit have been on the circuit for 13 years now, playing more than a 100 gigs a year and wowing audiences of all ages, and they have even been given the thumbs up by guitar god Jimmy Page.

The current line-up has been together for nine years and consists of Nick Ferris on guitar, Geoff Hunt on bass, Graham Twist on drums, and Lee Addison on vocals and harmonica.

Nick and Geoff are about to celebrate their 1,000th gig with the band, and it’s this dedication, combined with the quartet’s musical excellence, that make them a must-see for fans.

Expect songs spanning the entire Zeppelin back catalogue, including classics Whole Lotta Love, Achilles Last Stand, and of course, Stairway to Heaven.

They also regularly include a selection of acoustic numbers in their shows.

l Whole Lotta Led play the Twist, Colchester, on June 27, at 8pm.

Tickets are £8 in advance and £10 on the door.
