When our faith in politicians has been sorely tested and many comments decry all of them as cheats and rogues, the people of Colchester have reason to feel justifiably smug.
I have never voted Lib Dem since I do not agree with many of their priorities.
Our confidence in the political process is dependant upon the honest and committed attitude of our politicians.
We should feel proud and grateful that we are represented by Bob Russell, who has shown himself to be both honest and a very hardworking servant of the people, even if some, like me, disagree with many of his party’s political stances.
Many politicians deserve our respect and gratitude even if they don’t enjoy our political allegiance.
