A MUM-of-two has appealed for a clean-up campaign to be adopted from a neighbouring county.
Clare Lawrie, of Empire Road, Dovercourt, said she wants people to start cleaning up after themselves and thinks using Suffolk’s Don’t be a Tosser campaign could be the answer.
Mrs Lawrie was one of about 20 residents and children from Empire Road and Cliff Road took who part in a clean-up in Mill Lane.
She said: “Some areas of the town are deteriorating because people just can’t be bothered to keep them clean and tidy. We hope the many users of Mill Lane will be more considerate to the residents and use the bins provided.”
Councillor Garry Calver, of Harwich East Central ward, said he hoped the group’s efforts are seen as a positive way forward.
Nigel Brown, communication manager for Tendring Council, said it would be willing to help any group which wants to carry out an environmental clean-up.
Anyone who wants Tendring Council’s help in a clean-up should call 01255 686770.
