A COMMUNITY workshop has celebrated its first open day with a tall order for a huge plant pot.
Clacton and District Occupational Workshop invited the public to its base, in Old Road, to learn more about its work.
Workshop manager Mark Adams said: “Sales soared and St Helena Hospice placed the biggest order of the day – for the largest planter we had ever.”
District councillors Peter Balbirnie, David Oxley, Robert Bucke and Delia Aldis were among those who stopped by to find out more about the workshop, which gives people with disabilities and learning difficulties a chance to gain woodworking skills.
