DAVID Cameron is set to visit Colchester.

The Conservative Party leader will tour the town and host a meet-and-greet session with residents on Monday, April 27.

In an event his party is calling “Cameron Direct”, members of the public will be able to quiz the opposition leader and voice their concerns over burning issues.

The Tories are promising that Mr Cameron will be “direct, live and unscripted” during the session, which is expected to last more than an hour.

Will Quince, Conservative parliamentary candidate for Colchester, said: “It’s a great opportunity for everyone to come along and raise their issues, questions and concerns with him.

“It is not a party-political event, anyone is welcome, and we hope it will be a real debate session.”

The event is free and will take place in the Moot Hall, at the town hall, Colchester.

Anyone attending will need to meet at the venue at 5.40pm.

Tickets are free and open to anyone who lives in the borough, but they must be reserved in advance. For details, or to request a ticket, e-mail cameron direct@colchesterconservatives.com
