STUDENTS had the chance to grill their teachers in the style of a popular television show.
More than 100 sixth formers at Tiptree’s Thurstable School took part in a discussion based on BBC show Question Time.
The youngsters put their questions to a panel of speakers including the school’s head teacher, Miles Bacon, assistant head teachers, Elisabeth Batt and Chris Taylor, and Matthew Buxton, a history and RE teacher.
Meanwhile Adam Bluck, head of media at the Maypole Road school, played the role of David Dimbleby.
Discussions ranged from current affairs, to panellists’ views on higher education and celebrities.
The debate was part of the students additional studies programme which covers citizenship, current affairs and careers advice.
