A WOMAN was trapped inside a 4x4 following a collision in which the vehicle ended up on its roof.
The collision, which involved a black Toyota, white transit van and a Mitsubishi Shogun, happened in Brinkley Grove Road, Colchester, at 5pm today.
The woman, who was a passenger in the Shogun, was helped free by emergency crews and taken to Colchester General Hospital to be checked over.
The 51-year-old male driver of the Shogun and his other female passenger, who were all from Colchester, were also taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Three fire engines from Colchester, three ambulances and road traffic officers were called to help.
The drivers and passengers in the other two vehicles did not suffer any injuries.
The road was closed in both directions while emergency crews worked at the scene. It was reopened by 7pm.
