IT’S double trouble – twice over.

Adel and Blane Pearson, who had twin girls two years ago, have just had a second set of twin girls and doubled the size of their family overnight.

It means the couple, of Birch Avenue, Great Bentley, who are now known in the village as the twins family, now have four little girls aged under three years.

But Mrs Pearson, 30, a mental health nurse at Severalls in Colchester, and her husband, who works with people with cerebral palsy in Kelvedon, are taking it all in their stride.

Mrs Pearson is even hoping to get back to part time work in the new year.

“It is hard work with all the washing, cleaning and ironing and feeding – it never seems to end, but we are very organised and calm,” she said.

She described the routine as a “bit bootcamp-ish” but said: “If we were not organised we would be in chaos.”

She said the only way they got any sleep was by sharing the feeding times at night, but said she also has two little eager helpers during the daytime.

The proud mum says her two “big girls” Grace and Ruby-Lou, who were born 21/2 years ago, also liked to help out with feeding and dressing their baby sisters.
