A project to plan the future of Tendring’s open spaces will cost up to £50,000.

Tendring Council has assigned consultants Landscape Partnership to produce a strategy for 2012 to 2026.

It is hoped the project could lead to a country park or pocket parks in the district.

The online questionnaire is split into three age groups – primary school children, young people and adults.

It asks whether there is enough open space, whether it can be easily accessed and whether the quality is good enough.

The survey is open until November 14, and residents have been urged not to miss out on a chance to have their say.

Residents can give their views and comments via the links on tendringdc.gov.uk The responses will be collated by survey company Smartline, which will analyse the results and provide a snapshot of the views.

A draft strategy will be available for further consultation next spring.
