Unsung heroes from the Second World War are to be honoured.
And there is still time to get involved in the landmark event.
Tendring Council made an appeal to former members of the Women’s Land Army to attend a presentation at Clacton Town Hall in November.
At least 23 women will be presented with new badges commissioned by the Government.
The council has applied for 16 badges for those who have not already made an application and they will be joined by seven other members who have received badges in the post.
The last possible date for anyone to contact the council to be included in the ceremony is Friday.
