THE manager of a brothel is facing the prospect of losing more than £80,000.
Aleksander Sochacki admitted running the brothel in Colchester earlier this year and was given a 120 hour unpaid work order.
An investigation to see if he had any assets gained during the time he managed the business was also made by the prosecution.
Lynne Shirley, prosecuting, told Chelmsford Crown Court a total of £82,572.65 was now being sought from Sochacki following the investigation.
But the court heard Sochacki had so far failed to disclose details of his finances.
His barrister, Micaila Williams, said lawyers had written a “strongly worded letter” to Sochacki asked for financial information but nothing had been forthcoming.
Miss Williams added: “It has been pointed out to him that it may be a contempt of court for not supplying details.”
If the court decides he gained financially during the time he ran the brothel, the £82,000 may be seized under confiscation and proceeds of crime laws.
