A HAIRDRESSER swap-ped his scissors for a pair of garden shears in aid of charity.
Lee Gold, co-owner of Peewees Hairdressers in Sir Isaac’s Walk, Colchester, made the switch at his salon to raise at least £500 funds for Cancer Research.
He used the garden tools on Lorri Price, a 28-year-old from Canterbury Road, Colchester, who has been growing her long blonde locks for years.
She said: “My friend asked me to do it because they wanted someone who was game for a laugh.
“I was really nervous especially when I saw the blades and heard him sharpen them.”
But she had nothing to fear as Mr Gold has used garden tools including shears and rose clippers to cut hair before.
