A teenager out celebrating her 18th birthday with friends was set upon in an unprovoked gang assault.

Two women pulled Kez Everitt-Bronze to the ground and started kicking her and stamping on her hand.

Kez was treated at Clacton Hospital for her injuries, but the next day she started coughing blood and was rushed to Colchester General Hospital.

She is now recovering at her west Clacton home from injuries including a broken wrist and hand and broken ribs.

Kez said: “You expect this in London, but you don’t expect it in Clacton.

“There is no nice way to describe them, and the way they did it – they didn’t even let me get up and defend myself. It wasn’t fair.”

Kez was in Clacton for a evening out with friends who had missed her 18th birthday party a few days before.

The assault took place in Pier Avenue, Clacton, on September 13 at about 3am, but police have only just released details.

The two women involved in the attack were in their early 20s.

One is described as white with blonde collar-length hair, about 5ft 6ins, of skinny build and wearing a blue denim shirt and a low-cut strappy yellow or white top.

The second is white with long blonde hair, of skinny build and wearing a dress which was possibly blue or black.
