A school is celebrating smashing all previous records in today’s GCSE results.
Pupils at Colbayns High School in Clacton not only doubled last year’s figures for achieving five or more grades at A* to C, they also surpassed the local authority target.
Headteacher Nick Pavitt said: “Colbayns is a school that has been rapidly improving, and these results confirm what Ofsted told us last October – namely, that we have strong capacity for further improvement.”
