DETECTIVES are investigating four weekend stabbings.
A man is recovering in hospital after he was knifed in the stomach in a disturbance in St Andrew's Road, Clacton.
Three men received stab wounds in Walton, in an unrelated outbreak of violence 12 hours later.
Three arrests have been made in relation to the Clacton incident. The 43-year-old stab victim is recovering at Colchester General Hospital.
Police think the matter was linked to an argument near the Warwick Castle Market, Old Road.
In the Walton incident, police were called to High Street at 2.40am yesterday after a party reportedly got out of hand.
The three victims, all known to each other, were treated at Colchester General Hospital. Four men were arrested.
