BOLTON Wanderers will face Barnsley in the play-off semi-finals, with the first leg moved to Friday night with a 7.30pm kick-off.
On the advice of South Yorkshire Police, the first leg at Oakwell has been changed to Friday to avoid clashing with Sheffield United’s home game with Nottingham Forest.
Ian Evatt’s side will then host Barnsley on Tuesday, May 7, in the second leg.
The club has already had discussions with Barnsley over away allocation, with the home club guaranteed to offer at least 10 per cent of the ground's capacity, which is 23,287. Full details will be published in due course.
Wanderers lost over two legs against Barnsley last season, drawing one apiece at home but then losing out to a Liam Kitching header in the second leg. The Tykes went on to lose in the final at Wembley against Sheffield Wednesday.
In the other play-off semi-final, Oxford United will face Peterborough United on Saturday, May 4 (7.45pm kick-off). The second leg at the Weston Homes Stadium will be played on Wednesday, May 8.
There has been no confirmation, as yet, from the EFL on the kick-off time of the play-off final at Wembley on May 18. Initially published as a 3pm kick-off, there has been speculation that the time could be moved to later in the day.
