TWO snooker legends will be making their way to Colchester to perform a recreation of the 1985 World Championship final to celebrate 40 years since it aired to millions.
Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor are set to recreate the match that gripped the nation – the 1985 World Snooker Final - with host and referee John Virgo at the Mercury Theatre.
The pair will be battling it out to pot the black ball on February 27, 2025.
It has been almost 40 years since a record-breaking 18.5 million people tuned in to watch the match live on TV.
Fans are now being given the chance to see the snooker greats recreate the final frame all over again.
The Black Ball Final is widely considered the best-known match in the history of snooker and the reason for the surge in the popularity of the sport in the 1980s and 1990s.
There will also be a Q&A after the match.
Tickets are on sale from April 26 onwards with prices ranging from £32 to £72, with VIP meet and greets available.
