THE funeral of a paratrooper killed in Afghanistan will take place in Colchester on Monday.
The funeral of Lance Corporal James Bateman, of the town's 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, will take place at St Peter's Church on North Hill at 11am, with full military honours.
After the service the cortege will pass along the High Street.
